HYMN – STANDING ON THE PROMISES OF GOD The bible is referred to as the WORD of God, meaning it can be considered a direct line of communication from the Lord. The bible is different than any other book in the whole world. It is alive as the Holy Spirit speaks to us through it. The Holy Spirit is the only one who can reveal its spiritual truth to us. God’s WORD is the language of God’s spirit. That means when we read it and meditate on its principles. We are allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to us and as a result can help to keep our flesh under control. It is interesting to know that God will not do anything outside HIS WORD.
