The Church of God
According
to the scripture in the book of Ephesians 1:22-23; Christ
is the head and the fullness of Christ is the body; which is the
Church.
In
this the Church should be heaven's outlet, the channel of release for
heaven's power, the medium of accomplishment of God's purpose. It was
recorded in the book of Acts how the early Church demonstrated the
power of God. How they were able to turn their world upside down for
the kingdom of God in their time as long as they remained under the
leading of the Holy Spirit from the day of Pentecost. They were able
to say Silver, or Gold I have none, but in the name of Jesus rise up
and walk.
Let
us ask ourselves, it is so in our own time presently? Of course not,
in this our time we have seen how the body is moving in the opposite
direction from the Head. We have seen this abnormality in our own
time. How far the Church the body has moved away from the Head. We
have seen the impact on the Church how this has opened the door for
the enemy, the wicked one to rule over the Church, we have seen how
the Church of God has become powerless because she has left her
rightful position. This has caused her to change her focus and she
remains vulnerable to the ridicules at the hand of the enemy of God.
However, in all this a question arose in my heart as I pondered on
the current state of the Church of God and the question is:
Is
there HOPE for the Church of God?
Hope
is simply waiting expectantly and eagerly for the day God will
perfectly fulfil every promise and do exceedingly abundantly above
all we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Hence, we
would say Hope is a deep-seated confidence in God that anchors our
soul, even in rough seas.
In
all the rough seas that the Church of God have been passing though in
our time, do we often wonder or asks ourselves if there is Hope for
the Church of God?
This
year 2017, the Lord gave us His word in (2 Cor 3:17)/ (Isaiah
60:20) and (Zech 4:6), which
clearly answered this question that there is Hope for the Church
of God. He also promised to give us Hope out of valley of trouble in
the book of (Hosea 2:15).
If
the Church is going to experience revival:
-
The Church need to return to God’s word that changes and build us up (2 King 22:8; Ps 119:130).
-
The Church needs to return to their first Love according to the book of (Rev 2:4).
-
First Love: Jesus is the FIRST LOVE, for He is the one that first love us according to the book of 1 John 4:19/Romans 5:8.
-
The Church of God needs to return to his Love not to forget the great commission Luke 24:46-49 as to redirects our Focus.
-
The Lord God has promised us to give us Hope and Liberty of restoration to our original position under the headship of Christ Jesus. Let us now pray amen.
Prayers
